New N.C.C. publication

Copies of the biggest publication by the National Council of Churches in New Zealand, "Authority, Conscience and Dissent,” will be available for sale soon in New Zealand and overseas. The 180-page book is a collection of papers delivered in the last 18 months at meetings of a joint working committee on the principles of authority, conscience, and dissent The-committee consisted of representatives of the N.C,C. in New Zealand and the Roman Catholic Church. Five hundred copies have been printed and more will be printed subject to demand. One of the major papers in the book is "Authority in the New Testament,” by the principal of Holy Cross College, Mosgiel (the Very Rev. I. Sanders), who has now been appointed head of the Vincentian'Fathers of .the Province of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. The preface has been signed by the two, co-chair-men of the committee—the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. B. P. Ashby), and the Rev. W. S. Dawson.
