Jewellery of steel

The choker collars which London’s fashion-conscious girls are wearing are included in new jewellery made in steel by a British firm. The 8.8. C. World Service programme New Ideas noticed them recently, in a range of rings, armbands and bracelets, watch bands, necklaces and pendants. Stainless steel makes jewellery with a modem clean, hard look, that does not look at all cheap though it is hot nearly as expensive as silver or gold. The range of this steel-form jewellery is priced from £1 10s for a ring up to £2O for a watch with watch-band. It also makes use of another modem material, plastic, to very good effect, for instance in stainless steel rings and armbands with pieces of steel and plastic dangling from them.
