N.S.W. liquor sales
More than s3oom worth of liquor was sold in New South Wales last year. According to the annual report of the Licences Reduction Board, 148,815,100 gallons of liquor was bought for $302,066,941. Predictably, beer accounted for the bulk of sales—l 36 million gallons. Wine-drinkers bought almost 9.5 million gallons, and 4 million gallons of spirits were sold.—Sydney, May 20
