Rugby side walks off

(N.Z. Press Associaiion) WHANGAREI. There was a walk-off in Bay of Islands Rugby on Saturday. Kaikohe’s Junior team, trailing 0-30, trooped off after an incident in the second half. There was a disagreement between the referee, Mr D. Walker, and some of the Kaikohe players.

It is expected that the walk-off will be discussed at a meeting of the Bay of Islands Rugby Referees' Association and then taken to the sub-union management committee.
