Two houses sold
A house with one bedroom, on a section of 20.8 perches at 48 Scarborough Road, was sold for $12,200
yesterday at auction by Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd. The Government valuation is $7750. A house of four rooms on a section of 24.3 perches at 20 Martin Avenue, Beckenham, was offered at auction by the same flrm and was sold for $5650. The Goveroment valuation is $4600.
The auctioneer at both sales was Mr E. G. Keenan. A three-bedroom house on 63 perches at 43 Port Hills Road, Heathcote, was passed in at $3500 when offered at auction yesterday by W. E. Simes and Company, Ltd. The Government valuation is $3400. The auctioneer was Mr P. J. Cook.
Two sections in Shirley, on the comer of Julius Terrace and Stapletons Road, were passed in when offered by R. G. Bell and Company. The comer section of 25.2 perches was passed in at $4900 and the other of 22.8 perches at $3900. Neither section has a Government valuation. The auctioneer was Mr R. G. Bell.
