Automatic is fit
"The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Automatic and Triton went well over six furlongs at Woodville yesterday morning, and others to please In their preparation for Hastings were Sharif, Noir Fllou, and Banquet. In the plough, Automatic and Triton sprinted six furlongs in Imln 13 2-ssec. Both were going well at the finish. Automatic should be hard to beat In tbe Twyford Hack Handicap on Saturday.
Sharif ran a mile, cutting out the last seven furlongs in Imln 29 2-ssec and the final three In 37 3-ssec. It was good work and Sharif will Improve with it. Banquet looked well when he beat Benghazi over seven furlongs In Imln 30 25sec. the last three in 38 3-ssec. Banquet will appreciate the 10 furlongs of the Oreka Handicap, and on a soft track would be hard to beat Lady Branksome went six furlongs in Imln 16sec and was revelling in her work over the final three In 36 Msec.
Noir Fllou impressed when he beat Miss Harleigh by a length over seven furlongs In Imln 30 45sec. If the track is soft, Noir Fllou cannot be left out of calculations in the Hawke’s Bav Cup. Fans and Lord Ex went comfortable over seven furlongs in
