No concerts by Schwarzkopf
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 20. Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, the famous soprano, has notified the N.Z.B.C. that she regrets she is unable to fulfil her concert tour of New Zealand, because of the sudden and serious • illness of her husband, the recording impresario, Walter Legge. Miss Schwarzkopfs engagement with the N.Z.B.C. involved three concerts, including the centennial concert in Auckland next Tuesday. The N.Z.B.C. is urgently trying to engage another artist.
