MAORI SIDES
Cup match at Napier (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Four Canterbury Maori players, including the Canterbury representative hooker, R. W. Norton, have been selected for the Southern zone Maori team for a Prince of Wales Cup match against a Northern Zone Maori team at Napier on May 1.
The Southern team was selected by Messrs J. Marriner (King Country), convener), T. McDonald (Marlborough), and G. Marsden (Poverty Bay). The Northern selectors are Messrs R. F. Charleton (Waikato) converer, E. Whaterau (Bay of Plenty), and W. J. Nathan (Auckland).
The teams are: Northern Maoris.—K. T. Going (North Auckland); K. Carrington (Auckland), G. R. Skudder (Waikato), G. Barbara (Counties): D. Merita (Waikato), M. A. Herewlnl (Auckland); S. M. Going (North Auckland); R. Ranul (Bay of Plenty); N. Tokl (Auckland), H. J. Maniapoto (Bay of Plenty), R. Clarke (Counties), T. Waaka (Auckland); J. J. Gillett (Waikato), E. R.
