Two New Zealanders have been named among the four directors of a company which has begun buying land to run horse racing in Fiji.
The company, Racing Fiji, Limited, was formed two years ago and paid $16,350 for 65 acres near Suva. The directors include Messrs P. J. Byrne and B. W. Robbins, of Auckland. At present, Fiji’s only races are locally run meetings on a disused aerodrome near Lautoka, 140 miles from Suva.
