Help offered to Polynesians

(N Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON. March 12. New Zealand university students would support the establishment of a Polynesian education foundation, said the students’ association national president (Mr D. Cuthbert). He expected students would offer at least $lOOO to promote the idea. The foundation has been suggested by the Minister of Maori and Island Affairs (Mr Maclntyre) to provide for some of the special needs of New Zealand’s Polynesians who are not eligible for aid from the Maori Education Foundation.
