Convert to N.Z. lamb

fN.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) THE HAGUE, March 10.

One of the leading Dutch agricultural officials at the E.E.C. negotiations, Dr J. Bergman, has become the latest convert to New Zealand lamb.

Dr Bergman came home from a hard session last week to find his wife had bought, for the first time, New Zealand lamb from a store in The Hague.

It cost Mrs Bergman about 60c (N.Z.) per lb bone-in and about 75 cents bone-out, compared with $1 for lowgrade steak, $1.20 for pork, and $2 for best fillet “And it was very good meat indeed,” said Dr Bergman. “Now I see why the British buy so much of it My wife has gone out this week to buy a stock for our refrigerator before it runs out."
