Royal Ascot wins

The New Zealand horse Royal Ascot knocked three seconds off the record for the Hawkesbury Cup Derby, run in Hawkesbury Sydney, in its Australian debut last evening. , Covering the first mile in 2min 49 3-ssec, Royal Ascot, driven by A. Harrison, led all the way to win by six yards. The previous mile record was Zmin 52 3-ssec.
