‘Crum seen in Fiji Isles’
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SUVA, March 11. William Crum, who is wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in connection with alleged bribery and corruption in American service clubs in Vietnam, owns land and a yacht in Fiji, according to the “Fiji Times.” The newspaper says that Crum, who is required to appear before a United States Senate investigating sub-committee, was recently seen in Suva.
The "Fiji Times” disclosures come after a report in the American magazine, “Time,” describing Crum as "the Money King of Vietnam,” and adding: “Crum has dropped from sight—presumably to sail his yacht in the South Pacific while charting his next move.” Crum and his Japanese wife are said to have regis-' tered in hotels in Fiji as "General and Mrs Tmy,” and to have bought a 22-foot ' sloop, since abandoned, in Suva, paying cash. ' The Fijian crew are believed to have made illegal I passenger-carrying trips be- < tween the islands, according! to the newspaper. I
