PASTORAL PRINCESS CONTEST
A popular attraction this year will be the Pastoral Princess contest conducted by | the Cheviot Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Eight local firms have sponsored entrants, | the winner to receive a wool outfit and the opportunity to go forward to compete with other | regional winners for the title of the New Zealand Pastoral Queen.

land in conjunction with C.P. Air (Canadian Pacific), the Wool Board, Thcs.
Borthwick and Sons, Ltd, and the Bank of New South Wales.
The grand winner to receive a trip to England and Canada and a complete wool wardrobe.
The quest is to find a well-groomed, well-spoken and graceful girl over 19
years of age with a general knowledge of New Zealand and farming.
