RAROTONGA VISIT

Welcome for Prince Philip (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) RAROTONGA, Feb. 28. The Duke of Edinburgh stepped ashore at Rarotonga in brilliant sunshine this morning to start a full but informal programme of meet ing the people. His relaxed manner made a tremendous impression on all the people who saw him at various functions around the island. He was dressed in an open shirt and slacks. And be was given a warm welcome. Accompanying Prince Philip were Admiral Earl Mountbatten of Burma and Lord and Lady Brabourne. Lady Braboume is the Earl’s eldest daughter. During a luncheon break at ithe seaside bungalow of the Premier (Mr Albert Henry), the Duke and his party had a swim in the lagoon.
