AUCKLAND.
Two New Zealand records were bettered at the Auckland Water Skis Club 1971 championship on Saturday. In the girls’ class, Miss A. Carmichael jumped 64.1 ft, bettering the record by 2.lft. Miss J. Wigglesworth, in the trick section, beat the New Zealand points record by a handsome 436 points when she gained 1442.
The records are not recognised nationally, because the events were only at club level.
