Poll favours raw milk
The Akaroa County Council has decided to take no (further action to try to perjsuade its ratepayers to drink pasteurised milk. At its meeting on Friday' the council considered the re-; suits of the poll conducted recently to determine local, [feeling on the issue. Sixty [three per cent of those who ivoted turned down the projposal which the Health Department had recommended, las a move to combat possible {outbreaks of disease. Akaroa is understood to be one of the last strongholds in New Zealand were raw milk is preferred to pasteurised.
