GRENADE WINS

The former Rlccarton galloper Grenade, added another to his Sydney wins when he was successful In the Taren Point Handicap, principal event at the Sydney Turf Club’s meeting at Canterbury last week. The distance was nine furlongs and 80 yards and he started at 10 to 1. Grenade appeared to be making little impression outside the furlong but over the concluding stages he forged right ahead and finally won well by nearly two lengths. - Now a five-year-old Grenade is by Faux Tirage, out of Carruth, by Ruthless. He only recently resumed racing after an extended absence since last August, but last season was a Randwick winner over one mile and a half and at Warwick Farm he won over 11 furlongs. . „ . Grenade is raced by Mr A. Jones who was a buyer at the recent sales of trotting stock In Christchurch.
