NATIONAL ANTIQUE AUCTIONS

Three important National Auctions of Fine Art are to be conducted in Christchurch shortly. One of rare New Zealand literature including such works as the second edition of Buller’s Birds and a bound volume of the Lyttelton Times for the year 1861. Another auction solely of paintings by famous New Zealand and overseas artists includes a fine work by C. F. Goldie. There is also to be an outstanding sale of antique silver and furniture including one of the finest George 111 lidded tankards imaginable. Each of these auctions containing valuable entries from all parts of New Zealand will be conducted by R. G. BELL and CO., our local Fine Art Auctioneers. Further exciting news will be published shortly. The auctioneers would appreciate advice of any further entries for these feature auctions as soon as possible so that they can be adequately presented in the catalogues.
