New aluminium press installed
(N.Z. Preu Auociation) WELLINGTON. Feb. 25. McKechnie Bros. (N.Z.), Ltd, has commissioned a second extrusion press for the manufacture of aluminium products at its New Plymouth headquarters. The company now has the largest productive capacity for extruded aluminium in New Zealand.
Last year the'company installed a copper tube mill valued at s2m, which will make New Zealand almost self-sufficient in its requirements for copper tube. The group is the major extruder of non-ferrous metals in New Zealand.
