(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) PERTH, Feb. 24. The Australian Labour Party tried to enlist the aid of Sir Keith Holyoake in the Western Australian state election campaign. The Labour organisers wanted a photograph of Sir Keith Holyoake to run in advertisements and hoardings proclaiming the virtues of price controL Sir Keith Holyoake would have beamed out at electors with Labour promises of price control alongside headed by the words “N.Z. can do it, why not West Australia.” The Labour Party sought a photograph of Sir Keith Holyoake from New Zealand representatives in Perth, but was told politely but firmly that such a

move could not be approved. The Labour men found that the photograph was not forthcoming. Labour made inflation and price control a key issue in last Saturday’s election, which it has apparently won.
