First screening of Plunket film

An 18-minute film entitled “A Baby on the Way,” which has been made for the New Zealand Plunket Society’* antenatal education programme, will be screened for the first time in New Zealand at the Westend Theatre in Christchurch at 10.39 *.m. today. Made by th* New Zealand National Film Unit, the film is intended mainly to help parents-to-be and

school children towards a better understanding of the conception of a child, its growth, and its birth. It was filmed at the National Women’s Hospital, the centra! Plunket rooms, and other locations near Auckland, in November last year. The film will be introduced by the Director of Medical Services to the Plunket Society (Dr N. Begg).
