Six tackles preferred

(N Z P.A Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY. The six-tackle rule is being hailed in Sydney as a success after its first full-scale trial during last week-end’s rounds of the pre-season Rugby league competition. Authorities voted last year to give the system a trial, but players will revert to the fourtackle rule during the season.

Coaches and newspaper writers claimed that under the six-tackle rule there was much more chance for development of an attacking move, less panic passing, and fewer scrums and field goal attempts.
