OFFICES NEARLY READY

Clients of the State Insurance Office would get a much better service from staff when extensions to the office in Worcester Street were completed, said the general manager (Mr N. R. Ainsworth) yesterday.

There would be ample room for clients and staff, which would make for swifter transaction of business.

Yesterday Mr Ainsworth helped pour concrete at the top of the new nine-storey extension to the building which will cost about slm when completed.

The staff of the State Insurance Office will occupy the ground and mezzanine floors as soon as they are completed in April, and other Government departments will move into extensions progressively.

The other tenants in the building are the Lands and Survey Department and the Lands and Deeds Office. Both will occupy the extensions on their floors and the rest will be allocated by the Government Accommodation Board.
