Friendly Forbes might race in American interests in the Inter* Dominion Championship Grand Final at Addington Raceway next week.

Negotiations for his sale to Mr A. J. Leavitt, of New York, have been completed and finality is expected in the next few days. A five-year-old stallion by Hl LG’s Forbes from Friendly Grattan, Friendly Forbes has won nine races for his Darfield owner, Mrs L. C. May, whose husband trains him. His successes include the New Zealand Sapling Stakes, the New Zealand Champion Stakes and the Ashburton Cup. His winnings are »1»,535. Mr Leavitt, who is in Christchurch, said yesterday that Friendly Forbes would go to New York as soon as possible after the series.
