(N Z Press Assn—Copyright) SYDNEY. Australia and England attracted a total of 678,486 spectators during the seven-test series, which ended on Wednesday. The Australian board secretary (Mr Alan Barnes) yesterday estimated that Australia’s profit would be about $150,000. England received a guaranteed amount for each test —525,800 for five or the first six tests and $12,900 for the seventh. The tourists also received $752 a day for the extra test at Melbourne the amount they would have collected for the match against Victoria which had to be cancelled. The Melbourne test had the largest crowd. A total 184303 sepectators watched the match, with 65,860 paying a world record $53,721 on the third day.
