Fire destroys house

A Burnham family was left only with the clothes in which they stood after a fire destroyed their house on Wednesday. The fire broke out in the house of Mrs D. M. Edge of Two Chains Road early in the morning and rapidly spread through the wooden building. Mrs Edge managed to get her children to safety, but there was little she could do to save her home. It is not known if the house was insured.
