Few men going into teaching

AUCKLAND, Feb. 12.
Teaching, especially in primary schools, seemed to be becoming a strictly woman’s domain, an Auckland Education Board spokesman said today. . , Mr B. Anderson, of the board’s staffing-division, said 930 applicants were interviewed for Training College last year. Of the 930, only 172 were men. “For every man training in the Auckland area there are about 10 women. This year we sent about 300 to each Of these 30 wereTnen.”
