Sunday play decision

A Anal decision on whether there will be Sunday play in the Christchurch test will be made this evening.

The chairman of the cricket council’s board of control (Mr J. G. Leggat) said on Saturday that the proposal to include Sunday play, made by the Canterbury association, was being referred to board members and their replies would all be in by Monday evening.

The selection of the New Zealand team for the Christchurch test is expected to be announced on Wednesday morning.
