ZENICA (Jugoslavia), February 14.
At least 10 persons were killed and 120 injured—ls seriously—when the engines of a diesel-electric train and several cars caught fire today and became stuck inside the Vranduk tunnel, near the Bosnian city of Zenica.
Most of those injured suffered from poisoning by carbon monoxide, which developed in the fire 300 yards inside the long tunnel. It took five hours before rescue squads, mostly from the local steel mill, managed to pull the train out of the smoking tunnel. Some 200 passengers are believed to have been aboard at the time of the accident, at 2.40 p.m. The accident happened as the train was preparing to leave the tunnel.
Fifty injured passengers were released after receiving first-aid. The train, which links Zenica, an industrial city, with Zepce, was filled with morning commuters.
Motor-racing. Ferrari will enter three cars in the South African Grand Prix next March, the first Formula I world championship event of the 1971 season. They will be driven by J. Ickx, M. Andretti and C. Regazzoni.
