Family wage
Sir,—l was interested to read in today’s paper the report concerning the family wage. May I say that Mr Stone’s itemisation surprised me because I spend almost the exact amount on all of my groceries weekly. I am so pleased to know that my budgeting for our family of four (plus 3-month-old baby) is understood by someone in Mr Stone’s position.—Yours, etc., WEEK TO WEEK. February 2, 1971.
