Theft from house

Amplifiers and drums worth $4lB were stolen from a house in Thackeray Street, Sydenham, on Monday night, Christchurch detectives reported yesterday. The same night thieves broke into Collins Dairy, 163 C Cranford Street, by forcing a rear door and took cigarettes, tinned fruit, and smallgoods. The value of the stolen property is not known. A handbag, wig and several other articles worth $56, were taken from a flat in Kilmore Street.
