Applications are invited for a foundation appointment to take up duties in the latter half of 1971 to allow time to plan and develop the courses to be given in 1972. Appointment of additional staff to the Department will be made when the development of course* offerings and student enrolments warrants this. Applicants must have a strong academic background in music and should also have a demonstrated ability to organise and lead musical activities on the campus. Salary will be within the range $A9120 x $A276— $A10,500 p.a. Conditions include provision for travel and removal expenses. In addition, superannuation is available, together with assistance in buying or building a home and study leave. Study leave grants are available and credit may be granted for existing study leave entitlement.

Armidale, N.S.W. 2351. 70068 THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND APPLICATIONS are invited for the undermentioned position: RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN BIOLOGICAL SIMULATION The appointee will undertake work on the “Biomathematical Description of Animal Production Processes” and will work in conjunction with members of staff of the Department of Farm Management and Nutrition and Biochemistry. The successful candidate will be expected to develop simulation models relating to the utilisation of food and the end products of digestion in the ruminant. Initial emphasis will be placed on specifying the model for nitrogen metabolism in sheep. Applicants should have a higher degree or equivalent qualifications, experience in computer simulation and an interest or background in applied biology and mathematics. Salary vyiU be within the range $A6318 X $A34B—£AB4O6 x $A354—-5A8760 per annum. Assistance will be given towards fares and removal costs.
