Schoolgirl’s fast swim
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) HOBART. The 14-year-old Sydney schoolgirl, Shane Gould, swam the second-fastest 100 metres by an Australian woman. She recorded 60.4 seconds in winning the junior 100 metres at the Tasmanian championships. D. Fraser’s world record of 58.9 seconds is the only faster time recorded in Australia.
