REDMOND HEADS SHIELD BATTING
The tall, Auckland left-hand batsman, R. E. Redmond, leads the Plunket Shield batting averages and aggregates with half the programme completed.
Canterbury's top batsman is T. W. Jarvis, who has
scored 225 in four completed innings. Of the regular bowlers, another Auckland lefthander, R. Baddeley, leads the way, but the principal wicket-taker is the Otago captain, G. D. Alabaster, who has 18.
In the figures which follow, batsmen who have played three or more innings and bowlers with a minimum of three wickets are included.
