The appointee will be required to take up duty as early as possible in 1971. The appointee will be expected to teach across the range of Medieval English Language and Literature. Applicants should have a good knowledge of both the modern standard language (spoken and written) and the chief literary dialects of medieval Hindi, and some experience of teaching both language and literature. Salary on appointment will be in accordance with qualifications and experience within the ranges: senior lecturer, $8975 x $3O5 —$10,500 per annum; lecturer, $6318 (6 x 348; 1 x $354) $8760 per annum. The senior research fellow should have had extensive research experience in cellular immunology and in the interaction of antigen with cells. He will be expected to supervise Ph.D. scholars. The research fellow should have had some experience in the field of viral and bacterial infections in laboratory animal models. The salary range for a senior research fellow is $A9360-$A11,190 per annum and for a research fellow $A6318-$A8698 per annum. Senior research fellows and research fellows are usually appointed for a period of three years, with a possible extension to five years.
