Boy charged with rape
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 1. A 14-year-old boy appeared in the Otahuhu Children’s Court today before Mr D. I. N. McLean, S.M., charged with the rape of a 34-year-old woman at Otara early yesterday morning. No plea was taken. He was remanded in child welfare custody until January 20. He also admitted a charge of burglary. , Another 14-year-old boy was remanded to the same date after pleading guilty to a joint burglary charge.
