BREACH OF BURSARY

Doctor files appeal (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, January 1. Dr M. R. Wislang, a late registrar of the Palmerston North Hospital, has appealed to the New Zealand Medical Council against a disciplinary committee’s finding that he wilfully breached his medical bursary agreement. Dr Wislang’s counsel, the secretary of the New Zealand Medical Association (Dr E. Geiringer) said the appeal was based on both fact and law. The finding of guilty was returned on December 15 after a two-day hearing before the Manawatu divisional medical disciplinary committee. Dr Wislang was censured and ordered to pay costs of $245.
