Two Cheshire schoolgirls have begun a “hire-a-brides-rnaid” service. Janette Stokes, aged 11, and hen sister, Frances, aged nine, have been given their fulllength outfits by their grandmother. Their charge: a few jellies and icecream at the reception. But there have been no takers so far.—London, January 1.
