Air services resuming
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 20. Because Sydney fuel-tanker drivers will return to work tomorrow morning after a one-day strike for higher wages, air services between New Zealand and Sydney will operate to schedule, carrying all available passengers. An exception will be the Sydney-to-Wellington flight (which was detained overnight (awaiting fuel. The flight will arrive too late tomorrow to keep to normal schedules. Passengers held over today |as a result of the strike will I be flown out by 7 p.m. tomorIrow. | An Air New Zealand spokesman said the strike meant that payloads today had been cut by 50 per cent so that the DCBs could carry sufficient fuel for the return trip to Sydney and back without refuelling.
