Superintendent’s retirement
The former deputy-head of the Christchurch Police district (Superintendent C. L. Scanlan) was bidden farewell at a function at the Central Police Station on Thursday afternoon. Mr Scanlan, who served with the police for 40 years before his retirement last week, was met by representatives of all branches of the force.
