Professor Christiaan Barnard, will soon marry a German baron, but she has refused to name him, the Associated Press reports. Mrs Alette “Louwtjie” Barnard and her husband separated last year after 21 years of marriage. They have two children. Professor Barnard soon afterwards married a Johannesburg society girl, Miss Barbara Zoellner, aged 19. She is 28 years younger than he. Mrs Louwtjie Barnard said she would be married in Pretoria on February 13, her forty-seventh birthday, to a German baron she met while touring Europe after her divorce last year.
