(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. Mrs Mary Laugeson, a one-handicap player from Wanganui, is the “Woman Golfer of the Year,” it was announced after the national championships ended yesterday. The award is based on performances at the Russell Grace tournament, the New Zealand championships, two scores from courses of more than 6000 yards, and the 10 best scores of the year.
