Senior pupil seminar
More than 200 senior pupils from 26 State and private secondary schools in Christchurch will gather next week for a seminar entitled Man, Medicine and Morals. The seminar, an annual event held since 1965, is open to all pupils who have been accredited their university entrance examination. To be held at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre on November 24 and 25, the seminar is aimed at giving senior pupils the chance to discuss with each other and with experts some of the problems which they will encounter in the world outside the school gates. Among those speakers taking part will be Dr.K. Ussher and Dr J. Irwin of the University of Canterbury Student Health Service, and Dr K. J. O’Connor and the Rev. G. Sweet, both prominent men in the field of social welfare.
