Horse entries strong for Courtenay Show
The entries for the Courtenay A. and P. Show this year are a little down on last year’s figures, but still a notable effort by the organisers and community. Horses continue to be the big feature of the Courtenay Show, which will be held at Kirwee on Saturday. This year’s figures (with last year’s in brackets) are: Sheep 281 (416), cattle 89 (139), horses 1200 (1217), dogs 64 (73), poultry 99 (72). The schoolchildren’s entries of art and models total 421 compared with last year’s figure of 470.
