SHIPPING SERVICE

Plan by U.S. line (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. The Oregon Pacific Shipping Line noped to begin a regular three-monthly service between New Zealand and South America, the Acting Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Shelton) said in Parliament. He was answering a supplementary question by Mr I. C. Schultz (Nat., Hauraki), who had asked what steps were being taken to encourage further trade in pasture seed and similar products in South America, after the sale of 500 tons of seed to Chile. Mr Shelton said New Zealand pasture seeds sold in a number of South American countries, with Chile the major market, after 12 years of patient sales promotion by New Zealand seed firms.
