TRIPLE PEEL IN CROQUET
Playing for the United number one team, J. W. McNab achieved a feat rarely accomplished when he completed a triple peel in the opening round of the senior croquet competition. A feature of the competition this season is the increase in the number of teams playing. Results were:— Senior Grade. —United No 1 6 wins, St James 3 wins; Elmwood 5 wins, United No. 2 4 wins. Pennant Grade.—South Brighton 7 wins, United 2 wins; Elmwood 41 wins. Barrington 41; St Martins 7 wins. RedclifFs 2 wins: Fendalton 5 wins, Kaiapoi 4 wins.
