Mr P. Andrews has been appointed New Zealand manager for American Airlines. He has been district traffic manager for Air New Zealand in Los Angeles since 1968. Mr Andrews is 36. He war educated at Tauranga College and represented Tauranga town and province in sailing and won the national monotype championship in 1952. He also represented

Tauranga at Rugby and indoor basketball. He joined Air New Zealand as a traffic officer in Auckland in 1955 and was promoted to chief traffic officer in Christchurch two years later. He spent five years in Wellington as district traffic manager before becoming district sales manager in Auckland in 1965While in Los Angeles he was chairman of the International Airlines Operators’ Committee.
