CRICKET OFF?

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) JOHANNESBURG. The South African Cricket Association has received nothing official from Australia suggesting a postponement of South Africa’s proposed tour of Australia next year.

A report in a Johannesburg Afrikaans newspaper yesterday said that Sir Donald Bradman had asked the president of S.A.C.A. (Mr Jack Cheetham) whether the tour should be postponed. The S.A.C.A. secretary (Mr Syd Martin) said yesterday: “Nothing official has been received on the matter.”

The report said that Australian cricket officials were concerned about the possible damage which demonstrations could do to relations between the two countries.
