(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 11. Sir John Onnond, chairman of the Meat Board, today described the opening lamb schedule for the new export season as realistic in the present market situation. The opening schedule was announced, on Friday by the meat exporters. For the main grade of prime lamb (29/361b) the schedule price offered is 20c per lb. In a prepared statement today on the schedule, Sir John Onnond said: “We think this is a realistic opening schedule in the present market situation, and hope that it will attract sufficient lambs for the early ships which have been programmed by the board to take best advantage of the United Kingdom market”
